Satrana Ventures was founded in 2020 on our belief that purpose-driven entrepreneurship can transform Madagascar. The country needs more early-stage high-risk capital to catalyse entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our Approach
Satrana Ventures provides catalytic funding coupled with hands-on support. Our strategy is primarily focussed on identifying promising entrepreneurs. Our approach helps them to reach their full potential.
We invest our time, skills, and work with our entrepreneurs through thick and thin to build their business from ideation through to scaling.
We provide early stage funding to give the first financial impulse to our founders. We prepare them to be ready for their next funding round and will often co-invest alongside other investors.
We open our extensive network and link our entrepreneurs to an international and multidisciplinary community, who share our convictions and are willing to offer their expertise.
The Story behind “Satrana”
Satrana is the Malagasy name of the Bismarckia Nobilis palm tree.
It is endemic to Madagascar and after successful exportation, these days it’s thriving in many other countries. The Satrana palm tree is fire resistant and adaptable to many types of soil. It is the perfect representation for resilience, growth and international success.
